{2012 PEC Variety Show}

Lyla (3rd grade) and Hannah (4th grade) wanted to do a jump rope routine for the school variety show.  I gave them a song and they did the rest! They were so cute and were a total crowd pleaser.  To stop my tunes from playing while you watch the video, click the stop button on the playlist (sidebar on the right of the blog).  The girls weren't totally in sync but they jumped their hearts out!

 I also took them to sports authority to pick out a fun outfit :)

Sixth graders, Billy, Jack and Parker, had a dance routine in the variety show.  You should have seen these guys cruising around campus in their morph suits....they drew plenty of attention! I got them on video but it didn't come out well.  Watching them live was too fun and funny :)

{parker playing ell majors for the padres}

It is hard to believe this is P-man's last season of Little League! Trevor Cooper http://www.trevorcooper.com/  takes awesome sports photos, so I'm sharing some he took of Parker. P-man's team is REALLY young and have struggled a bit.  Parker and one other boy are the only two boys that played majors last year.  The coaches, players, and parents are all great and so we all just stay positive and have a good time out there :)  At the beginning of the season, he was playing mostly short stop and 3rd but he really wanted to catch and play more outfield so we told him to talk to his coach.  So he did and now he catches, pitches, plays outfield and they even put him at second too! His coach said to us with a surprised look on his face, "I didn't know he could catch!" P-man, it makes me smile inside when I see you play with confidence and a positive attitude.  BTW, sweet sliding catch in left, double, single, and you rocked pitching in last nights game.  Keep it up but no curve balls, ok? xo

{for u dad}

I remember as a kid you ALWAYS wore a pair of Sperry Top-Siders. You would wear them until they were way past done and then a brand new box would appear. I thought they were the ugliest shoes ever made and still kinda do. I never thought that one day I would be sporting a pair of my very own. Can you? They definitely aren't the ones you wear but ones that I would wear.  I guess I am my Father's daughter :) We like the same foods, are easy going, keep a lot inside, competitive, and have that sick Porter side of the family sense of humor. Remember the time I beamed you in the back with a tennis ball? I'm laughing about that right now....sick, right? I love you Dad. Let's get out on the court and run some lines and beam some balls...lol

{park central}

Park on his way to the 6th grade dance. Funny thing about that is last night he was telling me he didn't want to go! A friend who happens to be a girl has been recruiting him to go to the dance. Park asked me what to say since at the time he didn't want to go so I said,  "tell her to have fun." Today 3 girls on their bikes show up at our house and hang out for awhile. Guess who changes his mind about the dance? Have fun with your friends P-man and remember to stay true to you ;)

{hud & the hat}

Thank you Deana for Jake's hat. Hud has worn this off and on since he was 3! He has worn it with baseball pants, slider shorts, and with whatever works for him that day.  I don't have the heart to tell him that it is a little too big and he may not be styling the look all the way :)  Before I took this photo, he was asking me what was under his hat. He had water balloons in there and an Altoids can....pure randomness! Luv this crazy dude!

{happy easter + happy birthday alan}

Happy Easter! We spent the day in Alpine with my brother's family and friends.
Always have a good time there! We celebrated Alan's bday  too.....we love you
and appreciate all that you do for us :)

Lyla under the pier in Avila. I had some fun with my camera.  I will post more photos
of our trip to Pismo Beach soon.

I loved the colors under this pier. Look at the blue pole in the background.....love the texture/color!

P-man and HUD messing around

HUD giving me lots!

The dunes in Pismo. Alan's Mom was his co-pilot. Can't say this was my favorite thing to do but glad I went. I was sitting there thinking how pretty the sand was and how I would love to be taking photos of someone.  Check out the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt P-man borrowed for the ride....sweet!
I can say I had a ton of fun shopping in San Luis Obispo with Nana Jean! Jean you were down for it all!
The shopping, the hiking, the pool, the IPA's :)  I will remember you singing us the "Red Solo Cup Song" and smile.  Miss you already Jean!
