{tried to hang}

Last night I found Huddy past out on the kitchen floor.  He made it till 9:30 pm.  The kids planned on sleeping in the playroom and of course Hud wanted to be a part of the fun.  I could tell he was tired around 7 pm but he kept it together in order to hang with the others.  Nice effort Hud

He has been saying some funny stuff too.  Alan needs a new car so Hud told him to get a cop car or a helicopter (Hud says helicopper).  He was totally serious and was bummed when we told him we couldn't get one.  I was putting him in his car seat (he was naked....that's another story) and he told me not to buckle his wee wee cuz it was big.  One more from today..........Lyla was telling Hud to come here and he said, "Lyla, I have to go to pee pee.........just a sec.....just a sec."  He makes us all laugh and he makes us frustrated at times too with his antics but he is so dang cute!

{happy father's day to my hubby}

Alan had quite the day Sunday.  He played some volleyball in the morning (one of his favorite things to do lately), we went and saw Toy Story, then went to sushi for dinner, posed for a picture for me, played a little basketball with the kids, got tortured by little man, and experienced a family massage (not as relaxing as it might sound).  Happy Father's Day to the best Dad/Husband in the world!

I have to tell a funny story about Alan's Father's Day gift.  Lyla, Hudson, and I went out and bought a new ipod for Alan.  Lyla and I had it all planned out how we were going to wrap it in a huge box and what type of hints Lyla was going to give him.  So as we walk in the door, Hudson keeps walking right up to Alan and says, "Daddy, Daddy.....Daddy got new ipod."   Didn't have to wrap it up after that :)

{happy father's day daddy}

William Jay and Brooke Ann (me) - September 1971
My Dad loved his mustache!  It would continue to get bigger as the 70's went on.
I have to find one of those photos to share!

William Jay, Brooke Ann, and Aaron Hale - January 1973
What is up with my cheeks?

Me learning to ride my bike at our home on Folsom in Sacramento.....
yes, that is my Dad's van!
He used to haul antiques around and us too.  Of course there were no seat belts :)

Thank you Dad for always making me feel loved.  I hope to pass that on to my kids.  I also cherish what a wonderful person you are.  Happy Father's Day!

{my little worker}

I have been putting this little guy to work and he doesn't even know it!  I'm getting photos and he gets to play.  It's a win/win!  I've also been practicing some editing.  Too bad he can't help me with that.

{it's official.....summer is here!}

We drove up to San Clemente on Sunday and visited with Grand Daddy Farr.  Farr and I watched as the kids had some fun in the pool.  After the pool adventure, we went to lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.  It is always nice to see GDF even if he can't hear me very well :)
Tried to get a group shot.  They are wiggly little things!
Parker got launched!  I was impressed that Alan could still toss these guys around.  They are getting pretty long but still toothpicks.

Porter was next. When will they learn not to mess with Dad? Never is my guess!

                                                                 Lyla was in for sure!

Don't worry.......Hudson made it down safely.

Lyla has no teeth!  She is missing 3 right now.  You should see her eat corn on the cob.

{fun background textures}

I learned how to add a texture to a photograph so here is one of Parker (10)  and Hudson (3).  Kinda fun :)
